　　Wrong: 昨天他不去张老师那儿.

　　Right: 昨天他没(有)去张老师那儿.

　　To express that something did not happen yesterday, one should use the negation word “没”or“没有”rather than“不”.

　　Example

　　Wrong：我们法语不说的好。

　　Right：我们法语说的不好。

　　When the predicate verb is followed by a degree complement, it can not be premodified by the negation word“不”.“不”must be put directly before the complement（“好”）to indicate a look of proficiency in spoken French.

　　Example

　　Wrong：到北京以后，他立刻不到学校去。

　　Right：到北京以后，他不立刻到学校去。

　　When the adverb of time “立刻”is used with“不”，it usually follows“不”meaning“not to do something（“到学校去”）immediately.”

　　Example

　　Wrong：今天我不有看报呢。

　　Right：今天我还没有看报呢。

　　The speaker means that the action of“看报”have not yet taken place,but will sooner or later.He should use“还没有”instead of “没有”.

　　Example

　　Wrong：她不会游泳，我不也会游泳。

　　Right：她不会游泳，我也不会游泳。

　　The anticipatory sentence uses“不”to negate her ability to swim,and the follow-up sentence uses“也”to show the similarity between“我”and“她”.“也”should go before“不”.

　　Example

　　Wrong：你一定不拒绝我的要求。

　　Right：你一定不要（别）拒绝我的要求。

　　The sentence is to dissuade the other person from doing something,but the negation word“不”can not perform such function, and must be replaced by“不要”or“别”.
